Tayste (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Tayste iOS app (“App”).
Information We Collect
- Meal Data: Your ratings, notes, and restaurant names are stored locally on your device.
- Optional Photos: Images you attach remain on your device unless you share them.
We do not require you to create an account and we do not collect information that directly identifies you.
How Your Information Is Used
Your data is used on-device to show your past meals, enable search and filters, and provide optional reminders or notifications (if you enable them). We do not sell or rent your data.
Third-Party Services
- Analytics (optional): We may collect anonymous usage metrics to improve the App.
- Advertising (if enabled): The free version may use Google AdMob for ads. AdMob may use device identifiers to provide personalized or contextual ads. Learn more at Google’s Ads Policy.
Data Storage & Security
Meal data is stored locally on your iOS device. Deleting the App removes local data unless it has been backed up via iCloud or iTunes.
Your Choices
- Delete Data: Remove individual meals or clear all data from the App’s settings.
- Limit Tracking: Manage ad tracking and permissions under iOS Settings → Privacy.
Children’s Privacy
Tayste is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
